Our Houses.

At Elmwood, every pupil belongs to one of our four vibrant houses — Ennis, Murray, Wiggins, and Ainsley. Each house embodies the spirit of teamwork, friendship, and healthy competition, creating a strong sense of belonging within our school community.

Through house events, challenges, and celebrations, pupils have the opportunity to develop leadership, support one another, and take pride in their collective achievements. Together, these houses help make our school a place where everyone can shine.

Named after Olympic sailor Sir Ben Ainslie, Ainslie House represents leadership, courage, and calm under pressure. Pupils in Ainslie House show determination to navigate challenges with confidence and teamwork, always striving for success both on and off the water.

Named after the inspiring athlete Jessica Ennis-Hill, Ennis House represents determination, perseverance, and excellence. Members of this house strive to push boundaries, support one another, and celebrate every success — big or small.

Murray House takes its name from the celebrated tennis champion Andy Murray. It stands for resilience, focus, and fair play. Pupils in Murray House embody teamwork and the drive to give their best effort in all they do.

Inspired by cycling legend Sir Bradley Wiggins, Wiggins House symbolises courage, endurance, and ambition. Its members show commitment in every challenge, working together to achieve shared goals and inspire others.
